A true Hunter Valley institution, the Cessnock Hotel has been welcoming locals and visitors for more than 160 years. In the heart of the Hunter Valley, the Cessnock Hotel stands as a place where history and hospitality meet — a pub that has welcomed travellers, locals and generations of guests for more than 160 years.

It started as a stop between Wollombi and Maitland. A place to rest, eat and meet. Mail was dropped here before there was a post office. Early schooling happened out the back.

It has always been part of how Cessnock works.
